Chelsea Barracks, Phase 4

Luxury residencies in the heart of Belgravia

We provided AV, IT, and Lighting Controls Design Consultancy and project management for Chelsea Barracks Phase 4, covering 106 apartments across three blocks and extensive resident amenities like a gym, spa, and sports club. Our scope included IT infrastructure (LAN/WLAN), intercom, lighting systems, TV, satellite, radio distribution, and home automation for lighting, blinds, HVAC, intercom, and data/TV distribution in the apartments.

Seamless Integration

Due to previous performance issues with home automation systems in earlier phases, the client was keen to avoid similar problems in Phase 4, making the design of the apartment automation systems crucial. Our solution included Lutron lighting controls for FOH areas, integrated with site-wide systems, and after evaluating options like Lutron, Crestron, Control4, Savant, and KNX, we selected a KNX platform for its luxury control plates and intuitive operation. We provided separate design specifications for Shell & Core and Apartment fit-out packages, detailing interfaces for seamless integration across all phases. The project was delivered in BIM, following a 4-week “conveyor belt” design approach for each apartment type.
